Are ‘Three Trillion Dollar War’ estimates still on target?

It’s amazing that a book detailing the costs of the Iraq war could even come close to being accurate two years later. My recent read, The Three Trillion Dollar War: The True Cost of the Iraq Conflict, by Joseph E. Stiglitz and Linda J. Bilmes, was both upsetting and enlightening (and at times a little dry). Even after reading, I still cannot wrap my mind around $3.5 trillion.
